Frank Stoner, a pot-smoking wannabe cop who lost his license for crashing his car into a mailbox while rolling a joint, makes ends meet by teaching Hebrew school at a popular Los Angeles synagogue. One morning, Frank finds his beautiful Israeli co-worker, Yael, dead in her apartment and in a matter of seconds, manages to leave his own DNA all over the crime scene. Now Frank is the prime suspect in a ridiculous and baffling murder investigation. Will he be able to put his rusty ten-speed bike and his utterly disappointing detecting skills to use in order to prove his innocence? Or will he be the killer's next victim?
